Designing with us
What does the custom design process look like?
It starts with your idea: a sketch, a photo or a description. We talk through metal, stone and setting, send a detailed quote, and start production once you approve every detail.
Can I design online before reaching out?
Yes. Explore styles, diamond shapes and metals in the online designer first. It isn't a catalog of stock; it's the starting point for an original piece.
Can I bring my own stone?
Yes. An heirloom, a loose stone or a gemstone you love: we design and build the setting to fit it.
Do you make custom wedding bands?
Yes. JP Jewelers builds wedding bands from scratch in yellow, white or rose gold and platinum, including matching sets for couples.
Can you make a band to match my engagement ring?
Yes, it's one of our most common requests. We'll design a band to complement your ring, wherever it came from. We also make matching sets for couples.
Diamonds & materials
Are your diamonds certified?
Yes. We offer IGI, GIA and GIE certified stones from some of the world's most established suppliers. Every diamond comes with its documentation.
What's the difference between lab-grown and natural diamonds?
They look identical and share the same physical and chemical properties; only the origin differs. Lab-grown typically costs 30 to 50 percent less, which can mean a larger stone or more room in your budget. We offer both.
Which shapes and stones do you work with?
All major diamond shapes: round, oval, cushion, princess, radiant, emerald, pear and marquise. We also work with sapphires, emeralds, rubies, moissanite and other gemstones.
Do you work with moissanite and sapphires?
Yes. JP Jewelers works with moissanite (9.25 on the Mohs hardness scale) and sapphires (9), both great for everyday wear, as well as emeralds, rubies and other gemstones.
Do you sell loose diamonds?
Yes. JP Jewelers sources natural and lab-grown loose diamonds, certified by GIA or IGI, for custom settings.
Which metals can I choose?
Yellow gold in 10k, 14k and 18k, plus white gold, rose gold and platinum. We'll help you choose for your lifestyle, skin tone and style.
Pricing & payment
How much should I expect to spend?
Custom engagement rings at JP Jewelers start around $1,500, and pendants and earrings from about $650. We work with budgets from around $500 to $10,000 and beyond, and we'll be honest about what's achievable.
Why is your pricing different from big jewelry stores?
We work directly with the same top manufacturers major retailers use, without the storefronts, branding and middlemen. Same craftsmanship and certified stones, priced for the piece itself.
Can you match another jeweler's quote?
In most cases, yes. Send us the quote and we'll show you how we can deliver equal or better quality for less.
How does payment work?
Full payment is due before production begins, which keeps our overhead and your price low. We accept Square, Venmo and Zelle.
Timing, shipping & care
How fast will I get my piece?
Fast. Most JP Jewelers orders arrive within 3 days of being placed. Your jeweler confirms your delivery date with your quote.
Do you ship, and is it safe?
Yes. JP Jewelers ships anywhere in the world, fully insured, and you'll see photos of your finished piece before it ships.
What if something is wrong with my piece?
If there's an issue caused by craftsmanship or manufacturing, we take care of it. Warranty coverage is set out in your purchase agreement.
Do you resize and repair rings?
Yes, for our pieces and rings from any other jeweler. Share the details for an honest, upfront quote.
